Take A Step of Faith TODAY at 4 p.m., SPC will host two Christian Education seminars for adults. These are part of an intentional discipleship process designed to provide a systematic understanding of the Christian faith. One of the class offerings is called the Foundations Class which presents an overview of essential Christian beliefs. The second class is Next Steps: The Key Elements to a Growing Faith. During the class time there will be child care and a light meal.
Parking at SPC If able, please consider parking at Minnieland or the doctors' office any time after 9:30 a.m. until the close of the 11:15 a.m. service. Your willingness to park and walk is a ministry to others and truly appreciated. For those attending the early services, it is very helpful to exit the church by 11 a.m. Also, if your family drives more than one car to church, please consider using an offsite parking location for one of your vehicles. Please do not park in between islands of the parking lot, it is a clear Fire Code violation and potentially hazardous to the entire congregation in the event of an emergency. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Potluck Missions Dinner Please join the Missions Committee TODAY at 12:30, as the Missions Committee will host a potluck chili dinner with Steve and Mary Lou Walker. The Walkers are missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua, New Guinea and are family members of Jim and Pam Bolen (Mary Lou is Jim's sister). We will have an opportunity to fellowship with them and hear more about their ministry. Plan to join us in the Small Dining Area following church services and bring an appropriate chili side dish, if possible.
Congregational Meeting There will be a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, January 27 at 11 a.m. in the church Fellowship Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers to serve on boards of Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church. All are encouraged to attend.
Sound Technicians Needed There is an immediate need to have extra support for the church worship services by assisting with the sound system and other technological resources. Each service has different requirements for the integration of technology. You don't need to be an expert, but you do need to be willing to learn. Anyone interested in supporting the worship services at SPC through this effort are asked to contact Reverend Hager.
