The Church Office will be closed Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2.
End-of-Year Giving. Your end-of-year financial gifts to the church are greatly appreciated. As you may be aware, the church has changed the presentation of the financial information in the weekly bulletin to communicate as clearly as possible the actual condition of the church finances. We are blessed by the generosity of the church family, but we do face budget issues. As the Lord leads you, please remember the church in your giving for the remainder of 2011. Also, remember that all contributions need to be received at the church by December 31 in order to be credited to your 2011 giving record and tax information

Confirmation in 2012 is an opportunity for high school students to learn more about the particulars of their faith and become members of SPC. Confirmation will meet on Sunday nights at 6 p.m. (as part of youth group) beginning January 22 and concluding with Confirmation Sunday on May 6. If you have questions or are interested in participating, please contact Tim Habecker.
The Discipleship Class will host a special study at 9:30am next Sunday, January 1, New Years Day, on the life and times of John Bunyan, the author of Pilgrim’s Progress. All are welcome to attend. On January 8, the class will start a study of 2 Peter & Jude.
Your Pledge material and Time and Talent forms are very important to the life of the church. It is not too late to prayerfully consider how you can grow in your faith and share in the ministry of SPC. There are copies of the forms available in the Narthex and the foyer by the Fellowship Hall. You can complete and return them over the next several weeks. They can be placed in the office mailbox or the communication boxes around the church.
